San Diego Musical Theatre has announced Home For the Holidays Special - scheduled to stream December 18 - 31, 2020, featuring some of San Diego's most notable performers!

Cygnet Theatre will present the flamboyant musical La Cage Aux Folles with book by Harvey Fierstein and Lyrics and Music by Jerry Herman. Directed by Sean Murray with musical direction by Terry O'Donnell this show runs March 11 through May 2, 2020. Opening Night for media is on Saturday, March 14 at 8:00PM.

SDMT kicks off this summer with the feel good comedy All Shook Up. Nominated for 3 Outer Critics Circle awards including Best Musical, featuring the songs of Elvis Presley. Loosely based on Shakespeare's 'Twelfth Night,' 'All Shook Up' tells the story of a small town girl with big dreams from somewhere in the middle of a square state in the middle of a square decade, and the motorcycle-riding stud she falls for. He changes everything and everyone he meets in this hip-swiveling, lip-curling musical fantasy that'll have you jumpin' out of your blue suede shoes with such classics as 'Heartbreak Hotel,' 'Jailhouse Rock,' and 'Don't Be Cruel.'

The Welk Resort Theatre's production of Mamma Mia is a cheerful high energy entertainment, a worthy example of why the musical has been a favorite of many dozens of production companies around the world since its 1999 London premiere. The story is set on the Greek island of Kalokairi where we learn that Sophie, a 20-year-old bride-to-be, doesn't know who her father is. She's secretly read in her mother Donna's diary that it must be one of three men Donna had brief affairs with 20 years ago. Determined to find out which one it is, Sophie has invited them to her wedding without telling her mother.

After becoming the ninth longest-running musical with a 14-year Broadway run, and 15 years of touring productions, Moonlight Stage Productions is pleased to open its 38th season with the San Diego Regional Premiere of Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus' smash musical hit Mamma Mia! based on the songs of ABBA.
