East West Players (EWP), the nation's longest-running professional theatre of color and the largest producing organization of Asian American artistic work, is pleased to announce its signature One Night Only season kick-off fundraising event, to be held on Saturday, September 9, 2017. The event is themed "EWP Night Market" and will include tasting stations hosted by local restaurants, followed by an evening of performances featuring Asian American Broadway stars George Takei (Allegiance and Pacific Overtures), Gedde Watanabe (Pacific Overtures), Melody Butiu (Here Lies Love), and more. Proceeds of One Night Only: EWP Night Market support EWP's artistic and educational programs.

Black Ensemble Theater Founder and CEO Jackie Taylor continue the 2017 Season (The Dance Theater Season) with the world premiere musical Last Dancer Standing (More Than Hip Hop), written, directed, and choreographed by Black Ensemble Theater Associate Director Rueben Echoles. Last Dancer Standing (More than Hip Hop) will be performed at the Black Ensemble Theater Cultural Center, 4450 N. Clark Street in Chicago, July 22 - September 3, 2017.

The design will appear on all marketing and promotional materials for the 2013 Chicago Fringe Festival, August 29 - September 8. The fourth annual Chicago Fringe Festival takes place at various locations throughout Jefferson Park, a new neighborhood location in Fringe's history. The Fringe also recently held their lottery for theatre companies and individuals to be included in the 2013 Festival, a complete schedule of performances and locations will be announced in July. The Academy of Country Music announced today the line-up of free music performances and special events held during the open-to-the-public ACM EXPERIENCE,a family-friendly country music lifestyle event held April 5-7, 2013 at The Orleans Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
