Anastasia Arnold is a Chicago native! Her local credits include: New Faces Sing Broadway 1959! and They’re Playing Our Song (voice of Sonia Walsh), Porchlight Music Theatre; Elephant and Piggie’s; We are in a Play (Squirrelle #2 & u/s Piggie), Northbrook Theatre; Gypsy (Agnes), Music Theatre Works; Big Fish (Jenny Hill), Big Noise Theatre; and Bare (Diane), Refuge Theatre Project. Some regional credits include: The Fantasticks (Louisa), Festival 56; Pinkalicious (Pinkalicious), Timberlake Playhouse; and The World Goes Round, Porthouse Theatre. She received her BFA in Musical Theatre at Millikin University.

Blank Theatre Company Announces Performers For 'Blank's Sondheim Birthday Party'


Over 25,000 turned out for the Chorus of Westerly's Summer Pops on June 24th in Wilcox Park. The main attraction for the event was the premiere of Chorus Alum John Tafone's upcoming new musical the Count of Monte Cristo. Tafone, a Westerly treasure was thrilled to have his work performed in such a fashion.

Porchlight's New Faces Series Returns to the Skokie Theatre


Porchlight Music Theatre and Artistic Director Michael Weber are proud to announce the second production in its 2017 2018 season of Chicago's hit musical revue series, New Faces Sing Broadway 1959, hosted by Gene Weygandt, directed by Adrian Abel Azevedo with music direction by David Fiorello, Monday, Feb. 26 at Skokie Theatre, 7924 Lincoln Ave in Skokie at 7:30 p.m. In tribute to the original New Faces series that ran on Broadway and on film from 1934 1968, Porchlight Music Theatre created the Chicago musical revue series, New Faces Sing Broadway as a showcase for the best emerging music talent now performing on Chicago stages.

Refuge Theatre Project's BARE: A POP OPERA Begins Performances October


Refuge Theatre Project will again perform in a non-traditional space for their production of bare: a pop opera, which will complete the company's second season with a five-week run from October 7 through November 6, 2016. The sanctuary of Epworth United Methodist Church at 5253 N. Kenmore will be the stage for this sung-through musical, set in a private co-educational Roman Catholic boarding school. bare, which premiered in Los Angeles in 2000 and was mounted off-Broadway in New York in 2004, follows gay and straight teenage characters who are dealing with their emerging sexuality. The pastoral guidance they receive from their teachers is not always affirming.
