BIO
Anaïs Koivisto is the Artistic Director and co-founder of Everyday Inferno Theatre Company. Directing credits include The Dispute, The Roaring Girl, Bonesetter, The Turn of the Screw (at the Morris Jumel Mansion), A Map to Somewhere Else, and Erik Ehn’s The Saint Plays. In addition to her work with EITC, she has directed for Oppressed in Heels, Looking Glass Theatre, 3V, Seiche Productions, Spicy Witch Productions, Match:Lit, and CORE Artists' Ensemble. Anaïs holds a BFA from Boston University, has studied at LAMDA and ACT, is a New York Affiliate member of Seiche Productions, and has served as a member of (Re:) Directions Theatre Company and Theatre Artists’ Conspiracy.

QUICKSAND begins performances on Saturday, December 1 for a limited engagement through Saturday, December 15. Press Opening is Monday, December 3 at 7:30 PM.

Written by Reina Hardy, directed by Ana?s Koivisto, and produced by Katherine Sommer, the production features actors Carey Cox (The Glass Menagerie, Broadway), Christopher Alexey Diaz (Asolo Repertory Theatre), Meghann Garmany (The Schoolhouse Theater), and Virginia Roncetti (A Brush with Georgia O'Keefe, Off-Broadway).

Spicy Witch Productions, the feminist collective which brought you last season's burlesque romp THE C*NT, is proud to present the world premiere of BONESETTER: A TRAGISLASHER, a new play by Annette Storckman running in repertory with Thomas Middleton's rarely produced Tarantinoesque masterpiece THE REVENGER'S TRAGEDY. An ensemble cast will tackle both plays this May11-22, 2016 at The Clemente's Flamboyan Theater. Together, these two bloody pieces explore the fetishization of violence in our society, particularly violence against women.
