Everyday Inferno Theatre Company Presents The World Premiere Of Jason Pizzarello's BETHEL PARK FALLS Everyday Inferno Theatre Company is proud to open the world-premiere production of Bethel Park Falls this weekend. Following our successful 2016 FringeAL FRESCO production and five-year partnership with the NYC Parks Department, Bethel Park Falls marks Everyday Inferno's sixth annual free show in Central Park. The production, written by Jason Pizzarello (Soho Rep Writer/Director Lab, Classic Stage Company) and directed by Christine Zagrobelny (Flux Theatre Ensemble, The Instigators), is a joyful celebration of community and diversity within our city's public spaces, and of the connections that these spaces can foster.

"This tiny patch of grass is where we feel safe. This field is all we have on days like today to hold it all together. Do you realize that? This park. How much it means to people? This is the only place we can breathe. Actually breathe."

The Town of Bethel is facing a crisis: its beloved park has been sold and life has been sent into a tailspin. Over one day, four seasons, and seven interconnected vignettes, its residents lose jobs, homes, and spouses, but find love, faith, and forgiveness. Performed in New York City's own green oasis, Bethel Park Falls offers an opportunity to celebrate the diverse community that surrounds us and the human connections that come when we least expect them. As the summer sun sets and a year passes before us, embrace the magic of the park, where everything can change in an instant.

Bethel Park Falls is directed by Christine Zagrobelny, with production design by Anaïs Koivisto, and is produced by Katherine Sommer. The production features Elizabeth Berkman (Hudson Shakespeare Co.), Bennie Brown (Berkeley Playhouse), Karen Forte (New Georges, Gallery Players), Averi Israel, Maya Jennings, Leslie Marseglia (Julius Caesar, Shakespeare in the Park), Steve Martin, & Ryan Mills (The Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, Shakespeare Festival of St Louis).

JASON PIZZARELLO recently developed his plays After People Like You at Classic Stage Company with director Anna Brenner, Providence Adrift with Meghan Finn at 3-Legged Dog, Half Right with Michelle Bossy and the Fordham Alumni Company, and When I Had Three Sisters with Lila Neugebauer in the Soho Rep Writer/Director Lab. His work has also been produced at Irondale Ensemble, HERE Arts Center, Clubbed Thumb, Source Festival (DC), and the 14th St. Y Theater. Over thirty of his plays for young actors are published by Playscripts and Stage Partners and have been produced in all 50 states as well as in 25 countries, including a Norwegian translation. When he's not writing, he proudly serves as a logistics officer with the New York Army National Guard and recently returned from a deployment in Afghanistan.

CHRISTINE ZAGROBELNY is an NYC-based director, passionate about developing new work and immersive theatre. Select directing credits include: Office Play (Working Title, a devised play about office life), The Importance of Being Earnest (The Instigators), Welcome to The Fall (The Motor Company), Breathing Corpses, Jailbait (Burning Coal Theatre Company, Second Stage), The Shape of Things. Christine is a company collaborator with EITC and a member of Mozzlestead's development team. She has developed new work at Dixon Place, Mission to Ditmars, The Brick, Flux Theatre Ensemble, and Judson Memorial Church.

EVERYDAY INFERNO THEATRE COMPANY creates adventurous theatrical productions of new or rarely produced texts that tell women's stories in a unique, entertaining, and accessible manner. We exceed the limitations of low-budget theatre by exploring nontraditional spaces, stagecraft, and storytelling. We are committed to developing a diverse audience by producing work that is large in scope while keeping our production costs (and ticket prices) at a minimum. Through our work, we prove that stories focused on women can be universally enjoyable and relatable.

Tickets for Bethel Park Falls are free (a $10 donation is suggested) and seating is general admission and does not require reservations. Seating at Summit Rock includes a limited number of bench seats with backs, as well as ample space for picnic blankets and lawn chairs. Performances run August 9th through August 19h on Fridays through Sundays at 6:30pm with a preview performance on Thursday the 9th at 6:30pm. Summit Rock (Central Park's highest point!) can be reached via B or C train to the 81st St/Central Park West entrance of the park, then up the first path on the left.
