The Stratford Festival lost one of its pioneers today. Douglas Rain died of natural causes early this morning at the age of 90 at St. Marys Memorial Hospital, just outside of Stratford, Ontario, the city in which he established his career, becoming one of the world's great classical actors.

Today, July 28th, there will be a first-look reading of 'David and Goliath' by Ricky Dunlop at the Midtown International Theatre Festival. The reading will star three-time Drama Desk nominee Nancy Anderson* ('Sunset Boulevard,' 'The Fourth Messenger' at NYMF 2017), Michael Lorz* (Gotham, upcoming 'Charm' at MCC), Washington Kirk* (Divorce, The Breaks), Pamela Bob* ('A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder,' 'Hand to God') under the direction of Dunlop.

On Friday, July 28th, there will be a first-look reading of 'David and Goliath' by Ricky Dunlop at the Midtown International Theatre Festival. The reading will star Heather Ayers* (currently in 'Groundhog Day') replacing previously announced Nancy Anderson.
