The Cathedral of St. John the Divine  presents ALESSANDRA BELLONI with I GIULLARI DI PIAZZA (Artists in Residence) in a special concert SACRED DRUMMING & CHANTS FOR SEVEN BLACK MADONNAS featuring ceremonial dances from Italy and Brazil, based on Alessandra Belloni's book Healing Journeys with the Black Madonna.

Flushing Town Hall's popular, monthly concert series of Mini-Global Mashups will continue on Sunday, April 3 at 1:00 PM with Southern Italy Meets Senegal.

Join I Giullari di Piazza for 'Belloni, La Barbera and La Befana Talk and Sing,' a special live online presentation featuring music from the Neapolitan Renaissance Christmas show 'La Cantata dei Pastori' and fascinating conversation about the history of this beloved show, created in the 17th century by Sicilian writer Andrea Perrucci of Naples.

Theater for the New City's Village Halloween Costume Ball, a revered Village tradition that frequently welcomes over 1,200 revelers, will be presented virtually this year with most of its key traditions preserved. Notable artists including Everett Quinton, F. Murray Abraham, Austin Pendleton, Phoebe Legere and Penny Arcade.

Festa Della Donna, a celebration of Italian-American women, is slated for the Laurie Beechman Theatre Saturday March 7th. The event, in honor of International Women's Month, pays tribute to their contributions to the arts and features an accomplished lineup of female Italian-American performers spanning the genres of music, comedy and dance.

Nonstop theater, a costume competition and ballroom dancing will bewitch the East Village October 31 in the Village Halloween Costume Ball, which is presented annually by Theater for the New City (TNC), 155 First Avenue.  This unique festival continues as a grand coming-together for real witches, everyday New Yorkers and artists alike. On Tuesday, March 19, Alessandra Belloni and her I Giullari di Piazza performance troupe will return to the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, 1047 Amsterdam Ave., with a concert, 'Healing Journeys With The Black Madonna,' and an accompanying book launch. The launch is for Belloni's book, 'Healing Journeys With The Black Madonna' (Inner Traditions - Bear & Company), which is presently No. 1 on Amazon pre-sales in the category of Folk Dances. The book contains a forward by bestselling author Matthew Fox, the foremost proponent of creation spirituality (based on mystical teachings of Hildegard von Bingen, Meister Eckhart and Saint Thomas, among others).

Alessandra Belloni, Artistic Director, has gathered a remarkable group of vocalists/dancers/percussionists for a new version of 'Drums of Illuminiation,' a joyous uniting of three great cultures: the powerful Native American, the fiery African, and the passionate Southern Italian, for a journey back in time into a world of ritual drumming, vocals, and trance dances.  Special guests are Murielle Borst, Josephine Tarrant and Kevin Tarrant of the SilverCloud Singers and Dancers (Native American) and Kevin Nathaniel (African percussion).
