The September Play Project, or #SPP, launches its inaugural year with a series of new works on the rooftop space of The Delancey, 168 Delancey Street, New York, NY 10002 on September 13th and 14, 2014. Both performances will be at 5 PM. The plays are all 6 minutes in length and set outdoors. The series was conceived by co­producers Jenny Gomez and Jessica Mazo. The aim of the Project is to provide a diverse set of artists with a comfortable platform where they can create, with full production support. 100% of the proceeds from ticket sales will be split evenly between all the playwrights, actors, and directors that have volunteered their time and talent for the project.

JEWISH PLAYS PROJECT and Artistic Director David Winitsky, are pleased to announce the exciting line-up of OPEN: The Festival of New Jewish Theatre. The festival officially opened Tuesday night with a special presentation of True Bible Studies by Robert Askins, directed by Benjamin Kamine as part of Into the Night: Downtown's Tikkun Leil Shavuot at The 14th Street Y. The line-up includes readings of new plays by Ben Gassman, Tom Block, M.J. Kaufman, Lenelle Moise, Lila Feinberg and the featured workshop production of G-d's Honest Truth by Renee Calarco, directed by David Winitsky. OPEN: The Festival of New Jewish Theatre plays a limited engagement June 13th through June 29th, 2014 at The Theater at the 14th Street Y (344 East 14th Street, New York, NY 10003). Titan Theatre Company's A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM to Transfer Off-Broadway


Producer Kevin Beebee announced today that Titan Theatre Company's critically acclaimed 2013 production of A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, where audiences pulled actor roles out of a hat each night just seconds prior to showtime, will play Off Broadway in 2014. Casting, creative team, venue and show dates will be announced in the coming weeks.
