The Red House Arts Center in Syracuse, NY enthusiastically presents a 1950s-inspired production of Euripides' Media, translated by Diane Arnson Svarlien and directed by Stephen Svoboda, October 29 to November 7.

Set to songs, sounds and visuals of 1950s America, this bygone era brings new life to the classic Greek tragedy. In her picture-perfect neighborhood, Medea is the ideal housewife and mother. Armed with a delectable, homemade pie in one hand and a deadly kitchen knife in the other, Medea exacts revenge against her cheating husband in a most calculated and maniacal fashion.
