Charlie Rosen, the 29-year old multi-talented bandleader, Broadway and television composer, and mega multi-instrumentalist, is bringing the acclaimed 8-Bit Big Band to Sony Hall in New York City! On Monday, January 27th, this 33-person jazz/pops big band will present Rosen's original a?oebig banda?? arrangements of some of the world's most popular video game music. Musical prodigy Grace Kelly will be featured as a guest soloist, as well as world-class bassist Adam Neely and viral video game music sensation and saxophonist Carlos Eiene aka InsaneInTheRain.  Doors open at 6pm and the show starts at 8pm. Broadway Unlocked founder Jessica Ryan announced today that the performance lineup for the sixth annual #giveback concert slated for Sunday, May 13 at 7.30pm at WNYC's The Greene Space (44 Charlton Street) has been updated.  Along with producers Kelly Weaver and Mike Borges, Broadway Unlocked is bringing Broadway favorites together to perform and raise funds for the Crime Victims Treatment Center, a not-for-profit organization committed to helping people heal from violent crime.  The live concert is directed by Nathan Tysen (Tuck Everlasting, Amelie).

Three of Cy Coleman's Broadway leading ladies invite you to a celebratory shindig buoyed by talent, palpably warmed by affection. Sometimes orchestrated as a harmonizing girl group and at others in distinctively different solo turns, Lillias White, Cady Huffman, and Randy Graff offer a banquet of Coleman's oeuvre in the 54 Below revue, My Guy Cy, which opened Friday night (and played again the following night). Arrangements by various musicians are texturally piquant, showcasing uncommon skill when interweaving songs. Direction (from vocalist Will Nunziata, who has a second flowering career) is fluid, deft, and winning.
