Mathews Entertainment to Bring 'PRACTICALLY PERFECT' and 'MUSIC OF THE KNIGHT' to Reilly Arts Center

Mathews Entertainment, an Ocala-based national touring company, has announced that it has reached a two-show agreement with the Reilly Arts Center for the 2017-18 performance season.

The entertainment company, who produces world-class vintage Las Vegas-style concert and Broadway theatrical events on tour throughout Florida and New England, will be bringing two of its most dynamic offerings to the popular Ocala venue - including the opening performances of a national tour for its newest production.

Originally introduced to the Reilly executive team when owner/entertainers Michael and Jessica Mathews - and their Kings of Swing band - headlined the 2017 Reilly/Ocala Symphony Orchestra Gala, the Mathews' are excited to bring years of professional entertainment and theatrical touring experience and production values to the Reilly.

MARY POPPINS IS COMING! The first production will be PRACTICALLY PERFECT: THE MUSIC OF Julie Andrews (AND HER LEADING MEN, Robert Goulet & Dick Van Dyke) taking the stage at the Reilly October 21 and 22, 2017. A brand new gem from Mathews Entertainment, PRACTICALLY PERFECT is a live performance and multimedia theatrical concert event that recreates many beloved, magical moments from Andrews' illustrious career including MARY POPPINS, THE SOUND OF MUSIC, CAMELOT, THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE and many more!

On PRACTICALLY PERFECT, the Mathews Entertainment website reads: "Combine a generous helping of Andrews, add an overflowing spoonful of her two favorite leading men, Robert Goulet and Dick Van Dyke, and sprinkle in more than a few surprises and you'll find you and yours the final ingredients in a recipe guaranteeing a magical experience you won't soon forget!"

THE PHANTOM OF MUSICAL THEATRE. In February, 2018 comes Mathews Entertainment's critically-acclaimed touring production of MUSIC OF THE KNIGHT: THE SONGS OF SIR Andrew Lloyd Webber. The production recognized by Webber himself and his Really Useful Group originally toured in 2009 and the Reilly performances will be the newest iteration of the critically-acclaimed show.

MUSIC OF THE KNIGHT is billed as "an intimate night spanning the hit songs and and career of this musical genius in allegory who single-handedly changed the course of the modern Broadway musical time and time again. From dynamic, high-energy hits to some of the most hauntingly-beautiful ballads in Broadway history, MUSIC OF THE KNIGHT has something to suit any musical appetite.
