Part karaoke, part confessional. STORY-OKE invites performers and audience members alike to share a true story about their connection to a song - or the song itself - then sing the hell out of it!

For our March 2026 show, we'll have stories about meet-cutes in the Apple Store, growing up with an over-the-top military dad, stalking boys on the UES and more - from stars of Broadway, film, television and the downtown stage! Plus, whatever you, our audience, want to share with the class!

ABOUT THE PERFORMERS:

OLIVIA OGUMA is an NYC-based Broadway and screen actor whose credits include Yellow Face, Mamma Mia!, Les Misérables, and A Christmas Carol. Off-Broadway, she has appeared with Second Stage, Playwrights Horizons, Signature Theatre, and LCT3, with regional work at Yale Rep and La Jolla Playhouse. On screen, she’s been seen in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Law & Order, The Good Wife, and numerous films. She has also appeared in more than 60 national commercials and was a regular on Sesame Street. She is the co-creator and host of DisOrientalism, an Asian American variety show in residence at Joe’s Pub.

ALLY SPIER is a Brooklyn-based writer and performer committed to a collection of wordy causes. Her byline appears in Fast Company, Architectural Digest, Business Insider, Reductress, and more. A high school English teacher once dubbed her the “Goddess of Grammar,” while another cursed her for always being late to first period. Both of these traits have changed very little in the years since.

LEAH KREITZ is a Los Angeles-born, Las Vegas-bred, Brooklyn-based actor best known for playing vegan riot grrrl “Aryn” in Netflix’s Dash & Lily. She most recently appeared opposite Carey Mulligan and Zoe Kazan in Universal/Plan B’s She Said, and starred in the world premiere of Alligator-a-Phobia in 3D! at Boston Playwrights’ Theatre. A UNLV Stage & Screen Acting graduate, Leah develops new work through her production company, Hapa Media. When she’s not performing, she can usually be found with her nose in a book, doing a headstand in yoga class, or on the flying trapeze at TSNY.

LINA ZIKAS is an NYC performer, writer, and producer. Her web series “A.i. Took My Job” is now streaming on YouTube and Vimeo. Her original musical “CRISPR: the Musical!” had a 26 show run at the 2024 Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Her short film "Start Over,” a musical about the perils of lab research, was represented in the Court Métrage in the 2018 Cannes International Film Festival. Her musical “Space Elevator” recently opened at Caveat NYC. She graduated with a Materials Engineering degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology. She loves dancing and taking classes at PMT!

SHYAp*rn THEERAKULSTIT is an actor, writer, fake scientist, cosplayer, lapsed YouTuber and general “nerd about town.” He has appeared at Caveat with his presentations, "Godzilla: History, Biology and Behavior of Hyper-Evolved Theropod Kaiju" and “How to Become the Batman,” as well as the slide improv show Peer Revue, Vocabaret and The Earth is Flat, a conspiracy comedy show. He has lectured at Nerd Nite, TEDx and the Smithsonian, produced and written for Dark Horse Comics, and could last be seen off-Broadway playing Admiral Kirk in “Khan!!! The Musical!” as well as such shows as The Flight Attendant and Girls5eva. He is in the feature film, "Song Sung Blue," singing alongside Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson, currently in theaters and streaming. Yet never once on Law and Order.
