LAVA presents a new work, Equinox/Solstice, that has emerged from a year of residencies around the solstices and equinoxes, among the trees, along the river, and accompanied by local fauna of Upstate New York. With 6 new company members including our newest and youngest, 3 year old Annikki Chanoff, this new work invites us into a tale of finding what was lost, reclaiming the power and intimacy of women working and playing together, and honoring the mysteries and beauties of our yonis, the seasons cycles, and our courageous hearts. With acrobatics inspired by plate tectonics and choreography derived from migration patterns and plant locomotion, LAVA delivers a work that promises to be inspiring, uplifting, and welcoming to all.
