Blending movement, text, and ensemble storytelling, “US” is part of the choreographer/director Charly Wenzel’s larger project ‘HUMAN – Layers of Identity’, which explores themes of discrimination, belonging, and universal human rights. Through the voices and bodies of an international female cast, the piece confronts the emotional weight of exclusion and the power of collective connection. The show will be part of The Lower East Side Festival of the Arts, featuring Nea Somogyi, Ryoka Matsumoto, Apple Tsai, Lucila Tolis, Gözüm Pul and Eleanna Fin as the dancers of the piece.
Theater for The New City is at 155 1st Ave, New York, NY 10003, New York City, NY.
