Treatment History tells the story of seven girls in eating disorder treatment who must navigate their community and their recovery together in a tight-knit and fragile environment. As shifts in the community shake up their worlds, each girl has to unravel the complex relationships they have with one another, and, more importantly, with themselves.

It features a seven person ensemble cast being portrayed by Eden Johnson as Izzy, CC Shaw as Sam, Iz Folchetti as Rosie, Shea Rodriguez as Hannah, Tosin George as Charlotte, Anoushka Sharma as Carter, and Abby Svelan as Lindsay. This production is being directed by Miranda Paiz (The Frat Boy Play), Stage Managed by Elaina Taylor, and produced by Olivia Kuan-Romano. It will also feature design by Laila Diaz (Costumes), Sophia Ling (Lighting), Lila Hussein and Sasha Glast (Set Dressing and Props).

This production is being performed as part of the 2025 Spring/Summer New York Theater Festival. To learn more about the festival, please see https://newyorktheaterfestival.com/

Cast and Creative team for Treatment History at The Hudson Guild Theater

Cast

Eden Johnson

Izzy
Eden is so excited to be making her NYTF debut! Selected acting credits include XMAS!19 and Bacchae at Columbia University and As You Like It, Snow Angel, and Much Ado About Nothing with Cadence Theatre in her hometown of Richmond, VA. Eden is also a choreographer, having worked on over 10 projects at Columbia University. Many thanks to her family for their support overall, but especially during her own recovery journey. Additional thanks to Goose and Taylor Swift, as always.

CC Shaw

Sam
CC is a New York-based actress and is excited to be making her New York Theatre Festival debut in Treatment History. Having trained in stage and screen acting for the past nine years, she is passionate about bringing stories to life and using this creative outlet to connect with audiences. Allowing the audience the freedom to express emotions alongside the actor is essential to her work. She wants the roles she plays to resonate with people, for them to be able to identify with the character. Most importantly, CC understands the importance of bringing the best to each role. She believes strongly in creating art that brings audiences together. Select theatre credits: REDACTED: The Musical, Inner Styles, SpongeBob: The Musical, Swan Lake, Antigone. Select Film/Television: Let Me Look, Coming With You, Lactose Larceny, Jiā. So much love to her family and friends. Shout out to my mom, dad, and sister for supporting her!

Iz Folchetti

Rosie
Isabella Folchetti is a rising junior at Barnard College of Columbia University, deep diving into neuroscience and behavior, as well as abnormal psychology (perhaps why she was so drawn to this role/production at large). On the DL (ahaha), Isabella is a some-what seasoned (emphasis on SOME-WHAT) performer (interested, specifically, in musical theatre). Most notably, she has performed as Ariel in The Little Mermaid (Schoolhouse Theatre, 2018-2019), Gabriella Montez in High School Musical (Schoolhouse Theatre, 2019-2020), and Olive Ovtrovsky (BHS, 2021-2022) in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. More recently, Isabella has performed as Maureen Johnson in Columbia Musical Theatre Society’s production of La Vie Boheme (2025), as well as (as) Rosie in Treatment History (written by student Sophie Simmons)(Barnard, 2025).

Shea Rodriguez

Hannah
Shea is a drama student at Columbia University, and is so excited to be a part of the first ever production of A Treatment History with this incredible cast and team! Recent productions include Antigone (Barnard Theatre Dept.), Fox Toss (Barnard Theatre Dept.), The Cherry Orchard (British American Drama Academy), Dance Nation (Barnard Theatre Dept.), Humble Boy (Columbia University Players), Rabbitman (NOMADS), four anthologies with Latenite Theatre, and has performed throughout Manhattan and Long Island in various shows, as well as many other short films and commercial campaigns. Alongside acting, Shea works as a production assistant for various projects, and writes and directs her own films.

Tosin George

Charlotte
Tosin George (she/her) is a playwright, screenwriter, and actor who is so excited to be playing “Charlotte” in Treatment History! She is a rising junior at Columbia University majoring in Film and Media Studies with a Drama and Theatre Arts minor. A performer since age 9, she trained in acting and playwriting at Trinity Repertory Company, and has performed in various student productions at Columbia. This past February, she was selected as a Semi-Finalist for the SheNYC Arts Summer Theater Festivals for her original play "Suburban Hospitality." She also spent this past academic year as a writer for Columbia’s Studio 292 Writers’ Room, collaborating with fellow student writers on the comedy television series "The Otherlands." Currently, she is an Arts Management Summer Intern at The Tank NYC. She would like to thank her mom, dad, and brother for their endless support, and Sophie and Miranda for trusting her with “Charlotte.”

Abigail Svelan

Lindsay
Abigail is a recent graduate of Barnard College, where she discovered her love for creating new theatre as an actress and producer. She is grateful to make her off-campus New York City acting debut in Treatment History. Tremendous gratitude to Sophie and Miranda for their talents, vision, and encouragement, and love to the rest of the company.

Creative Team

Sophie Simons

Playwrite/Producer
Sophie Simons is a queer playwright and designer based in New York City. She is currently a senior at Barnard College of Columbia University, where she is a B.A. Candidate in English (American Literature) and Theatre (Design & Production—Sound) and the Production Assistant Coordinator for Barnard’s Glicker-Milstein Theatre (with Miranda, duh). Sophie is the recipient of the 2025 Helen J. Prince Memorial Award for dramatic composition and the Dasha Epstein fellowship, for which she will spend a portion of the summer developing new work for New York Stage and Film’s Summer Season. She is currently a General Management intern for Daryl Roth Theatrical Management (Kinky Boots, …Dorian Gray, Indecent). Special thanks to Emma, Nicole, Kaitlyn, and everyone else from Klarman and CEDC ;) And (of course) an immense shoutout to Miranda, who remains the best goddamn director that this city has ever seen, and most importantly, has been a support every step of the way.

Olivia Kuan-Romano

Producer
Olivia Kuan-Romano is a NYC-based photographer, producer, choreographer, and dancer who is thrilled to be a part of the Treatment History team. Having spent several years in and out of treatment for an eating disorder, she’s excited to help bring this story—which is so close to her heart—to life. Now a rising senior at Barnard College studying Psychology and Dance, OKR has been active in mental health advocacy—co-founding her school’s NEDA chapter and serving as treasurer of The RecoverED Project. Her work in mental health naturally informs her creative work in theater, shaping a person-first grounded in fostering a nurturing environment where every voice is valued. Most recently, Olivia produced Columbia’s 131st Annual Varsity Show, Varsity Through the Ages at 54 Below, and CMTS’ production of Fun Home. She is also proud to be the current president of the Columbia Musical Theatre Society and loves to spend time off-campus managing the incredible kids at KOTA Productions and Broadway Workshop. Select Professional Credits: Leo and Lisa (Stage Manager), A Little Princess (Ensemble, U.S. Off-Broadway Premiere), George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker (Children’s Ensemble, New York City Ballet). @okr_photography
