Fireside Mystery Theatre, an acclaimed and award-winning audio theater production company, is proud to announce the world premiere of The Sun Worshippers: Fireside’s Summer Solstice coming to New York City on Sunday, June 15th at 5pm (doors open at 4:30 pm) at the Slipper Room. 

Now celebrating over a decade of podcast production, Fireside Mystery Theatre is an original audio podcast performed and recorded in front of a live audience. Styled in the fashion of old-time radio theatre with a decidedly modern macabre sensibility, the popular podcast has been running since 2014 with over three million downloads. Fireside has received accolades from The New York Times, TimeOut New York,  and awards from the Rhode Island International Film Festival, New Jersey Web Fest, New Zealand Web Fest and many more.

The Sun Worshippers: Fireside’s Summer Solstice features three terrifying tales of ritual magic, daylight suspense, and sundrenched horror. A retirement community devoted to an ancient practice of sun worship, a solstice ritual to uncover a soulmate, a party of Greek island hoppers who summon a long imprisoned goddess . . . plus live underscoring, musical guests, and much more!

The Sun Worshippers: Fireside’s Summer Solstice will be the third installment in their 2025 bi-monthly residency at The Slipper Room (167 Orchard St, New York, NY 10002) on NYC’s Lower East Side with a full cast, sound effects, an improvised musical score and musical acts that complement our anthology of stories. Tickets are $20 and available online at www.slipperroom.com, as well as at the door.
