Ronald Kuang

Ronald Kuang is deeply grateful to be playing Fan Gao in Yide Cai’s Rice Eaters at the AMT Theater as part of the Broadway Bound Theater Festival and for Director Gregory Keng Strasser for inviting him to go on this journey of identity. Trained at the Anthony Abeson Studio, Ronald seeks truth and connection in every role. He was previously seen in Joker at Interborough Repertory Theater (NY, 2019). None of this would be possible without the unwavering love and patience of his girlfriend Fulian, sisters, family, chosen family, and cast/team members.

Karen Li

Karen Li is delighted to return to The Rice Eaters after our previous appearance at KaniniFest. Regional credits include Twelfth Night (TheatreSquared), Exclusion (Arena Stage), The Great Leap (Perseverance Theatre), Babel (Contemporary American Theater Festival), and Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots (La Jolla Playhouse). TV credits include Dancing with the Stars (ABC). Karen is a collective member of Submersive Productions. She was a playwright in the 2024 cohort of the Horticulture Playwrights Workshop with Sisters Freehold, and is currently a playwright in residence at Baltimore Center Stage in their inaugural Lab410 program. Bryan Chan

Yu Hin Bryan Chan is a NYC-based actor, producer, and voice teacher from Hong Kong. Off-Bway: Youna in Blue Blind, Sheen Center. Jonon Gansukh

Jonon Gansukh (he/him) is a Mongolian actor and playwright based in NYC. He crafts art that forges creative space for the BIPOC community and amplifies unheard voices. Acting credits include ANCIENT HISTORY at The Tank, NORTHBOUND TRAIN at Columbia University, FIREWORKS (SVA Thesis Film), and regionally with THE RICE EATERS (KaniniFest, Arkansas). Jonon is honored and ecstatic to make his official Off-Broadway debut with this production!
