"The Ink's Still Wet: An Evening of New and Obscure Works" Brings Bold New Musical Theatre to The Green Room 42 on September 28 NEW YORK, NY – The Ink's Still Wet: An Evening of New and Obscure Works will take the stage at The Green Room 42 on Sunday, September 28 at 9:30 PM, offering an unforgettable night where the music is fresh off the page, the voices are fearless, and nothing is held back. Produced by Luke Gilmore and Ginger Snap Theatrics, this one-night-only event features powerhouse vocalists Alexa Marie Morgan and Justin Turner (Mike and Mindy's Wild Weekend Jam), alongside special guests Larkin Reilly (Just In Time, Bad Cinderella) and Bucky Heard (The Righteous Brothers). Caleb McCarroll will serve as Music Director. Audience members will experience world-premiere songs from an exciting roster of composers, including Rachel Croom (Big Music Fan, Too Awake To Sleep / For the Ones Who Go Away), Ryan Jacobs (Patches), Caleb McCarroll, Morgan Reilly (Freestyle Love Supreme), Oliver Richman (The Ballad of Phil & Phyllis), Will Reynolds (The Violet Hour, Radioactive), Nathan Tysen (The Great Gatsby, Paradise Square, Tuck Everlasting), and Andy Roninson (TAKE A TEN), as well as the writing teams of Derek Gregor & Selda Sahin (American Reject, Modern, Particle) and Taylor Fagins & Michelle Kuchuk (Living: A Now Musical). These works span heartfelt ballads and electric duets, brought to life for the very first time. "The Ink's Still Wet celebrates the heart and brilliance of new musical theatre," says producer Luke Gilmore. "Some of these songs are completely new, while others have already captured audiences online or even been recorded — but experiencing them live, raw, and in the hands of fearless performers is a thrill of its own." Since opening its doors in 2017, The Green Room 42 has become one of New York's most dynamic and inclusive cabaret venues, and The Ink's Still Wet continues that tradition — championing the next generation of musical theatre voices and stories. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- WHEN: Sunday, September 28, 2025 at 9:30 PM WHERE: The Green Room 42 – 570 Tenth Ave, 4th Floor, New York, NY 10036 TICKETS: In-person and livestream tickets available at: https://thegreenroom42.venuetix.com/show/details/BUVoKsu3QEDY9nwPEKNA Follow The Green Room 42 on Instagram: @thegreenroom42 Follow Ginger Snap Theatrics on Instagram: @gingersnaptheatrics
