Join Brian Bonobos. played by Daniel Lempert (UCB Maude and Lloyd Night) as he hosts the very-real-and-not-made-up celebrity gossip show Pop Stars Are Dumb (But We Love Them). Think of him as Carson Daly - but with a personality. In the show, he digs up dirt on all of your favorite artists, including Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, as well as original parody pop star characters, all played by Eliza Kingsbury (UCB Maude Night, Chicago and Montral Sketchfest). Featuring Douglas Widick (UCB, North Coast).Written by Eliza Kingsbury and directed by Michael Hartney (Broadway's School of Rock, JFL, UCBT NY Artistic Director).The show includes original pop songs, parodying the different artists, with music and lyrics by Eliza Kingsbury.Part of a two-show block that lasts one hour with a short Intermission. Each show is approximately 25 minute.
