Hailed for its “risk-laden” (DIY Dancer) choreography and “sophisticated approach to pure-dance,” (The New Yorker), Jessica Gaynor Dance performs pieces that utilize extreme physicality, intricate patterning and formal structures in an exploration of the complexities of human experience.
Intimate Gestures draws our attention toward relationships and zeroes in on the individual. Gestures can be actions or courtesies. They can be unique and yet universal. Cast and Creative Team for Intimate Gestures at Triskelion Arts
Intimate Gestures has been supported by a New Music USA commission and features original music; both live and recorded, by Devin Maxwell. Lighting design is by Andrew Dickerson. Performing the work will be dancers Emily Diers, Kyle Gerry, Jordan Risdon, Kristi Tornga and Matthew Westerby.
