DAY OF THE KINGS presents a powerful narrative set in 19th-century Havana, focusing on Dr. Enriquetta Faber, who disguises herself as a man to practice medicine amidst societal constraints. As she navigates her love life and professional challenges, themes of rebellion and hidden truths unfold, particularly during the annual Festival of the Three Kings. The performance, directed by Elena Vannoni, interweaves the lives of the Nuñez family and their enslaved workers, highlighting the collisions between personal ambitions and stark realities.
