Watch some of the best comedy of your life and let your problems be solved by a team of veteran performers at the Magnet Theater. Contessa: The Court of Private Opinion brings you the advice you never knew you needed. Each show begins with a request for a real audience member's real problem, which Contessa will solve by making up an entire hour-long musical about it. That's right, everything is made up on the spot! The lines, the lyrics, the dancing, and the music from the Magnet Theater's house band, led by pianist and musical director Frank Spitznagel. Will your problem be solved? Who knows?? Will you have the time of your life? Absolutely! Located in Chelsea, the Magnet Theater is singularly recognized for its musical improv comedy, and Contessa is made up of some of the most talented and experienced improvisers in the city, with touring and international credits to their names. They are: James Bruffee, Russ Feder, Ilan Kaplan, Alejandro La Rosa, Beth Slack, Cheryl Horne, and Nikita Burdein. Check it out on Friday, Feb 3 at 7pm at the Magnet Theater.
