The Down Town Glee Club had its first performance in New York City 90 years ago on May 12, 1927. In celebration of the Down Town Glee Club’s 90th Anniversary, our concert will take a musical tour of the world, honoring the diversity and richness of its abundant cultures, and the rhythms and influence they’ve contributed to the world of song and the human spirit. Throughout its nine decades, the Down Town Glee Club has promoted brotherhood through music with its continued spirit of inclusion, love and tolerance, regardless of race, creed, or religion. It’s a quality we are proud of and one we intend to continue for the next 90 years and beyond.
Our concert is May 11, 2017 @ 7:30pm, located at All Souls Unitarian Church on East 80th Street and Lexington Avenue.
Our concert features the following:
- A diverse concert featuring songs from around the world, guest artists and groups, and a live band!
- A FREE catered reception to follow, featuring foods and desserts representing various countries!
-Door prizes, as well as a chance to participate in our 50-50 cash raffle and gift auction!
Ages: (18+ for any raffle participation; alcohol on premises may only be consumed by those 21 and above).
