BroadwayWorld has just learned that three Broadway favorites are set to bring The Princess Bride to life onstage. A Disney Theatrical spokesperson has confirmed that that David Yazbek (Tootsie, The Band's Visit) will write the score, and Bob Martin (The Prom) and Rick Elice (The Cher Show) will co-write the book for the new musical.. AIN'T NO MO officially opens at the Public Theater

The complete cast of AIN'T NO MO' features Jordan E. Cooper (Peaches), Marchánt Davis (Passenger 2),Fedna Jacquet (Passenger 1), Crystal Lucas-Perry (Passenger 5), Ebony Marshall-Oliver (Passenger 4), andSimone Recasner (Passenger 3), Hermon Whaley Jr. will be the standby for "Peaches" and will be performing on all Sunday matinees.

AIN'T NO MO' is a vibrant satirical odyssey portraying the great exodus of black Americans out of a country plagued with injustice. In a kaleidoscope of scenes of the moments before, during, and after this outrageous departure, Jordan E. Cooper's extraordinary new work explores the value of black lives in a country hurtling away from the promise of a black president.

Ain't Too Proud, which celebrated opening night just last week, is the electrifying new musical that follows The Temptations' extraordinary journey from the streets of Detroit to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. This thrilling story of brotherhood, family, loyalty and betrayal is set to the beat of the group's treasured hits, including "My Girl," "Just My Imagination," "Get Ready," "Papa Was a Rolling Stone" and so many more.

What we're geeking out over: Second Stage has just announced five new shows!

Second Stage Theater's 41st season will kick off on September 19 with the Broadway debut of Tracy Letts' dark comedy, LINDA VISTA, directed by Steppenwolf Company member Dexter Bullard. The New York Premiere of GRAND HORIZONS will begin performances at The Hayes Theater in December, marking the Broadway debut of playwright Bess Wohl.

Spring 2020 will see the first major New York revival of Richard Greenberg's Tony Award-winning play, TAKE ME OUT, directed by Scott Ellis. Two off-Broadway world premieres are on the company's schedule as well: Will Eno's THE UNDERLYING CHRIS, which will play at The Tony Kiser Theater this October, and Alexis Scheer's OUR DEAR DEAD DRUG LORD, in a co-production with WP Theater, which will have its world premiere at the company's uptown space, the McGinn/Cazale Theater, this fall.

Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation (SDCF), the non-for-profit foundation of Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (SDC), hosted the annual "Mr. Abbott" Award gala and celebrated the 60th anniversary of SDC.
