BREACH Will Debut at Fresh Fruit Festival at The Wild Project

Following a successful industry reading at Urban Stages, award-winning musician, composer, and playwright DAN MANJOVI - whose work has been featured in recordings, film, theater, and on the Academy Award-winning soundtrack of Lee Daniels film Precious-will debut a main stage production of his latest play, BREACH, as part of the 24th Annual Fresh Fruit Festival. This debut is a step in the play's continuing development, aiming at a commercial run in 2027.

Christopher Scott, an accomplished Off-Broadway director specializing in the development of new works, who recently directed Murdoch: The Final Interview at Theater 555, and serves as Artistic Director of The Masterworks Theater Company will be directing BREACH. Scott and Manjovi are longtime collaborators. Previous collaborations include I Am, I Will, I Do (2017, NYMF, Peter J. Sharp Theatre); and Picked Up (2019), Theatre Row.

BREACH features Leeanne Hutchison*, Broadway, stage and television star. Max Monnig* (as Tim), and Peterson Townsend* (as Dr. Kendrick Johnson) have joined the cast. Both have extensive television, film, and theatre experience

BREACH is an intense psychological drama set in New York City that focuses on a one-week period in the lives of a therapist and her client. When the boundaries of their professional relationship are shaken, their already fragile lives begin to unravel. A layered and complex work, the play explores questions of ethics, vulnerability, and personal responsibility while capturing the troubled emotional climate of our present moment.

The dates and times for the Fresh Fruit Festival Main Stage Production, presented by All Out Arts, will take place: Wednesday, April 29 at 6:00 PM, Thursday, April 30 @ 8:00 PM, Saturday, May 2 at 8:30 PM at The Wild Project is located at 195 EAST 3rd St., Ground Floor, NEW YORK, NY 10009.
