The Virginia Theatre Festival will kick off its 51st season with a production of Into the Woods, a Tony Award-winning musical by Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine. Directed and choreographed by Matthew Steffens, this adaptation features a blend of Broadway talent and local performers, including UVA students Soren Corbett and Cameron Gardner, along with "Best of C-Ville" Local Actor nominees Edward Warwick White and Xavier Taylor. The narrative intertwines beloved fairy tale characters as they navigate the complexities of life, combining humor and emotional depth suitable for families. The production runs from June 27 to July 6 at the Culbreth Theatre in Charlottesville.
