The Heart Sellers is a poignant play by Lloyd Suh, directed by Desdemona Chiang, that centers on the friendship between two young immigrant women, Luna and Jane, who meet by chance in a grocery store on Thanksgiving night in 1973. With one woman hailing from the Philippines and the other from South Korea, the narrative explores their shared experiences and aspirations as they navigate life in a new country, reflecting on their pasts while looking forward to the future. Amaya Braganza and Bridget Kim star as Luna and Jane, respectively, bringing their characters' emotional journeys to life during the play’s run from July 11 to July 20 at the Virginia Theatre Festival.
