Auditions for professional non-equity male actors/vocalists are happening now at, for a show on 3/22/20 at the Fairfield Theater Company's Stage One, Fairfield, CT.  This is for the debut permance of an all new high energy rock musical.  Each player will have a minimum of 2 solo numbers, plus some ensemble work.  The lead position, which is still open, has ample stage time with 7 songs.  More shows for 2020 are in the planning stages, should you decide to stay onboard.  



The script and compositions are all original, containing 17 songs influenced by classic rock of the 70's & 80's.  It is a contemporary story focusing on the lead character, 25 year old Mike Mercy, and his constant struggle with weed and women.  Details are available at our website,, but here is a list of the characters:

  • Mike Mercy - Leading man, nice guy in love with the perfect girl, but stumbles at due to his routine of getting high
  • "Burnt" Bobby - Mike's friend and bad influence, as the name would suggest
  • Chip "The Dick" - A chum from high school who has anger issues and constantly clashes with the others
  • Maxwell - The older neighbor who offers guidance to his younger friends, but his wisdom often falls on deaf ears (position filled)
  • Lindsey - Mike's girlfriend and all-around sweethear (position filled)
  • Sonya - Mike's flirty coworker who enjoys hanging out with the boys and partying (position filled)

A vocal coach and choreographer will help work out the stage performances.

The show on 3/22/20 is a Sunday matinee, with a dress rehearsal that morning.  A tech rehearsal will be an evening earlier in the same week.


Rehearsals will initially be held in Milford, Ct, 2 nights a week (Tuesdays and Wednesdays, although flexible).  Not every performer needs to be at every rehearsal, depending on what scenes will be worked out those nights.  Reimbursements for travel expenses from NY, plus rides from the train station to rehearsal location can be provided.
