A Midsummer Night's Dream is William Shakespeare's finest work of magic and mischief, a tale of dangers in a darkling wood, a collision of three disparate worlds during one transformative night in a forest. How each character wakes the next morning altered is one of acting's best challenges. Director Michelle Denise Norton plans to bring clowning, Commedia Dell'arte, and pantomime influence to A MidZoomer Night's Dream, looking at it through the lens of farce and taking advantage of Zoom's emotional intimacy. If you'd like to be part of the adventure, audition slots are available on on the evenings of Tuesday, January 6th, Wednesday, Jan 7th, and Thursday, January 8th, 2026. Rehearsals will start the week after. If you have a mask of some sort, preferably covering the upper half of your face, please have it at auditions. I am considering using them during the night in the forest. We are looking for a diverse 12-15 person cast willing to collaborate as an ensemble. We will be working from William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream script unadulterated. All rehearsals will be on Zoom.
