World Premiere! A suburban couple hosts a welcome-to-the-neighborhood dinner party for their new neighbors — a couple recently relocated from Cabrini Green, Chicago's roughest housing project — and it's anything but welcoming. A dark comedy about reverse gentrification and how we deal with the "other" when the other looks just like us.
Welcome to Matteson! by Inda Craig-Galván (Will Trent, How to Get away with Murder) stars MaConnia Chesser (The Wire; NJRep's And Her Hair Went With Her), De'Lon Grant (B'way: Come from Away), Charlie Hudson, III (B'way: A Raisin in the Sun) and Cynthia Kaye McWilliams (Bosch, The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey). Welcome to Matteson! is directed by Dawn Monique Williams (Hartford Stage, TheatreWorks, Oregon Shakespeare Festival).
