Maurer Productions OnStage presents The 39 Steps, a two-time Tony Award-winning whodunit running April 24 to May 3 at Kelsey Theatre at Mercer County Community College. Adapted from the 1935 Hitchcock film and nominated for six Tony Awards in 2008, the parody follows Richard Hannay as a chance encounter with a spy pulls him into the crosshairs of an international crime ring. Tim Rerucha, Tonia Del Priore, Mary Tomson, and Daniel C. Gleason collectively portray more than 150 characters, delivering a comedy full of plot twists, quick-changes, romance, and Alfred Hitchcock references throughout.
