Summit, NJ — Pebble Players Youth Repertory Theater proudly opens its 2025–2026 season with the outrageously funny, Tony Award–winning musical comedy Something Rotten! Performances run November 7, 8, 9 and 14, 15, 16 at The Oakes Center, 120 Morris Avenue, Summit, NJ. Friday and Saturday shows begin at 7:30 p.m. with Sunday matinees at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are available now at https://stonyhillplayers.ludus.com.
Set in the 1590s, Something Rotten! tells the story of brothers Nick and Nigel Bottom, two aspiring playwrights struggling to compete with the wild popularity of “the Bard” himself—William Shakespeare. Desperate to write a hit, the brothers consult a soothsayer who predicts the next big thing in theater: musicals! What follows is a laugh-out-loud mashup of singing, dancing, and showbiz chaos as the Bottom brothers attempt to create the world’s very first musical.
Full of clever wordplay, outrageous characters, and show-stopping musical numbers, Something Rotten! is a gleeful celebration of theater that will have audiences laughing from beginning to end. With a cast of talented performers bringing this irreverent Broadway hit to life, Pebble Players invites theatergoers of all ages to join the fun recommended ages 10 and up.
Pebble Players productions are known for selling out quickly—don’t miss your chance to experience this hysterical season opener!
