NENAproductions Theater Project opens its 2026 season with Green Day's American Idiot, running April 24 through May 2 at the Jersey Shore Arts Center in Ocean Grove, NJ. This Tony Award-winning rock opera follows three lifelong friends — Johnny, Tunny, and Will — as they search for meaning in a post-9/11 world, fueled by punk rebellion, heartbreak, and the desire to break free. Robert Burgess, Brady Bock, and Patrick Napurano lead the cast, with direction by DJ Brown, musical direction by Jeff Brown, and choreography by Amy Carr Skalecki. The show features songs from Green Day's landmark album, including Boulevard of Broken Dreams, Wake Me Up When September Ends, 21 Guns, Holiday, and Jesus of Suburbia.
