Vanguard Theater Company presents Fade, a poignant play by Tanya Saracho that examines race, class, and identity within the competitive landscape of Hollywood. Set against the backdrop of a television studio, it follows Lucia, a Mexican-born novelist portrayed by Courtney Corso-Casiano, as she navigates her new role as a TV writer. Alongside Carlos Ibarra as Abel, a janitor offering keen insights, the two characters confront deep-seated issues of identity and power dynamics. Directed by Dana Iannuzzi, the production incorporates talkbacks and special events to engage audiences in its relevant themes.
