The Adelphi Orchestra continues its 69th Season of "Music for All" with a "Brahms & Dvorak". The concert is under the baton of maestro Scott Jackson Wiley and features violinist Sophia Werner, (The first prize winner of the 2022 Adelphi Orchestra Competition) in Brahm’s: Concerto for Violin in D major. Also on the program is Mendelssohn’s: Hebrides Overture "Fingal's Cave and Dvorak: Symphony no 7 in D minor.
The May 7th concert has been made possible in part by a grant administered by the Bergen County Department of Parks, Division of Historical and Cultural Affairs from funds granted by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts and co-sponsored by the borough of Fair Lawn. The Adelphi Orchestra will officially open its landmark 73rd consecutive season with 'American Voices at 250.' Led by Principal Conductor Kyunghun Kim, the program commemorates America's Semiquincentennial alongside the 200th anniversary legacy of Ludwig van Beethoven with dual-state performances in New Jersey and Manhattan.
The Adelphi Orchestra welcomes audiences to its 68th consecutive season of 'Music for All' with 'International Anniversaries'' - a concert celebrating César Franck's Bicentennial and an homage to Beethoven's pandemic eclipsed 250th Anniversary - in two locations on Sunday, May 15, 7:00 PM, Broadway Presbyterian Church, NYC and on Sunday, May 22, 2:00 PM, Fair Lawn Community Theater, NJ.
