Golden Gloves Boxing is one of the most recognizable brands in the sport of boxing. Sanctioned by USA Boxing, this event features the top amateur boxers in the great State of New Jersey as they vie for weight class championship belts and a trip to the Golden Gloves National Championship to be held in May in Lafayette, LA at the Cajun Dome.
New Jersey Golden Gloves Championships is one of the most historic events in the sport of boxing and just in the last year has produced a 2016 Olympic Silver Medal Winner for the USA in Rio. Shakur Stevenson, the 2015 NJ State Champion in the 123lb Open Class division, went on to win the World Junior title, in the 2016 Olympic Trials and medal in Rio! Stevenson is the first American male to medal in Olympic Boxing since Andre Ward (Gold) & Andre Dirrell (Bronze) in 2004.
VIP ticket holders pre-championship catered party at Hamilton Stage begins at 6pm. Includes one FREE drink ticket as well as hot and cold buffet.
