SURF CITY Sandy Beach Bar in Jersey City

By:

Surf City, the Jersey City sandy beach megabar and restaurant kicked off its 2016 season. The picturesque waterfront outdoor oasis just across the Hudson offers playful frozen cocktails and an inventive menu featuring land and sea favorites.

The creative force behind Surf City, John Argento, master restaurateur and famed nightlife owner of Manhattan celebrity hotspot Danceteria, has enlisted culinary dynamo, Executive Chef Franco Robazetti, to helm the kitchen. Chef Robazetti's tantalizing menu will feature the freshest seafood selections including the beloved Lobster Rolls prepared two ways as well as newer selections such as Seafood Paellafor Two with clams, mussels, shrimp, squid, octopus and saffron rice, Lobster Mac & Cheese, Grilled Mayan Shrimp served with seasonal vegetables and yellow rice and Snow Crab Legs with a white wine garlic sauce, potatoes and corn. Apart from the seafood, Surf City will offer a variety of burgers including the Baja Burger with Pepper Jack Cheese and Guacamole, the BBQ Burger with smoked BBQ sauce, apple wood bacon sautéed onion and jalapeno and the California Veggie Burger with guacamole, lettuce, tomatoes and pepper jack cheese.

The masterfully crafted menu will pair beautifully with a wide selection of colorful tropical frozen drinks. Choices will include the Mango Tango, a layered Mango and Strawberry Daiquiri, the Lava Flow, a Pina Colada with flowing strawberry puree and rum, the Island Fusion, a banana, strawberry, light rum and coconut rum concoction and the Miami Vice, a layered Pina Colada and Strawberry Daiquiri. Apart from the frozen drinks and cocktails, Surf City will have over rotating 25 craft beers on tap, including Harpoon Raspberry Hefeweisen, Captain Lawrence Sunblock, Landshark and Ithaca Apricot Ale.

"At Surf City we are aiming to create the ultimate staycation for locals, New Yorkers and travelers alike," said Director of Operations John Argento. He continues, " Surf City will be a total escape complimented by outrageous cocktails and the freshest sea fare."

Surf City provides extraordinary views of Manhattan and Liberty Island with both indoor and al fresco waterfront dining, three indoor and outdoor bars, four dining decks and a sandy beach with fire pits where customers can cozy up to watch the sun set and check out the fully stocked raw bar complete with jumbo shrimp, clams on the half shell and crab claws.
