50 SHADES! THE MUSICAL, currently enjoying great success on its national tour, will be recording an Original Cast Album in New York June 3 and 4. The critically hailed parody of the phenomenally popular books "50 SHADES! THE MUSICAL" features a sassy original score with musical influences ranging from traditional musical theater to pop to R&B and gospel.
"Wherever we go, audiences always approach us in the lobby asking for a recording to take home and enjoy," said writer/producer Emily Dorezas. "We are very excited to create a permanent record of the catchy and hilarious music from the show and this terrific cast."
The cast will record the original score at Flux Studios in New York City. The album, produced by Grammy Award-nominee
Matt Pierson, will be released in the summer of 2013 and will be available on all the major digital distribution channels including iTunes and Amazon.com, as well as in theatres and on the"50 SHADES! THE MUSICAL" website. The album will feature the complete show score along with a bonus track performed by Amber Petty and the cast. The track list is below:
