Broadway and Nashville performers gathered at Analog at the Hutton Hotel in Nashville on April 18 for Off Broadway: That’s So High School, a themed concert celebrating musicals set in high school settings. See photos of the show.
The event featured songs from titles including Hairspray, Grease, Mean Girls, Heathers, High School Musical, Bring It On, and Dear Evan Hansen.
Rachel Potter returned to produce and host the evening, alongside musical director Chris Brent Davis. The cast included Ben Laxton (The Book of Mormon), Taylor Louderman (Mean Girls, Kinky Boots, Bring It On), Elle McLemore (Heathers, Bring It On), Jelani Remy (The Lion King, Ain’t Too Proud, Back to the Future), and Marty Thomas (Wicked, Xanadu), as well as Jada Wasserman, Carolina Rial, Dustin Davis, and Erin McCracken.
The concert was the second of four planned installments in the 2026 Off Broadway at the Hutton series, each centered on a different theme and featuring a rotating lineup of performers. Upcoming events include The Room Where It Happened on July 11, highlighting music of protest and patriotism from shows such as Hamilton, Hair, Spring Awakening, and Les Misérables, and The Addams Family The Musical In Concert, scheduled for October 30 and 31.
Previous editions of the series have featured performers including Susan Egan, Eden Espinosa, Norm Lewis, Matthew Morrison, and Ali Stroker.
The program for That’s So High School included selections such as “Waving Through a Window,” “Seventeen,” “Good Morning, Baltimore,” “Michael in the Bathroom,” and “You Will Be Found,” culminating in a finale performance of “We’re All In This Together.”
