Souvenir at Theatre L'Homme Dieu

Souvenir is a touching comedy by Stephen Temperley about Florence Foster Jenkins, a wealthy social eccentric who believed herself to be a great coloratura soprano despite being incapable of producing two consecutive notes in tune. Her annual recitals at the Ritz Carlton brought her extraordinary fame and audiences who stuffed their mouths with handkerchiefs to stifle laughter, which Jenkins mistook for cheers. The production is directed by Angela Timberman, featuring Cheryl Willis as Florence Foster Jenkins and Jake Endres as Cosme McMoon, with designs by Carl Schoenborn, Sarah Bauer, C. Andrew Mayer, and Rawl Blackett. The show is produced by Gremlin Theatre of St. Paul.
