This exciting weekend of dance includes three world premieres: Burning Air, a solo by Joanie Smith about the Great Hinckley Fire of 1894; Pat A Cake, which brings the extraordinary Laura Selle Virtucio and Megan McClellan together in a humorous and slap-unhappy duet; and a daring new work by Eddie Oroyan that tests physical limits for himself and fellow company members.

The Guthrie Theater will present Arsenic and Old Lace, Joseph Kesselring's classic comedy that kills with kindness. As previously announced, the incomparable Sally Wingert returns to the Guthrie stage for the first time since last season's Faith Healer, joining acclaimed comedienne and Broadway veteran Kristine Nielsen to play the pair of well-meaning sisters, Martha and Abby Brewster, respectively. The production, which marks the 70th anniversary of a play The New York Times called 'so funny that none of us will ever forget it,' will be directed by Joe Dowling and presented at the Guthrie for the first time since 1975

History Theatre will be producing two plays to run in rep during the month of March. Up first is A Tale of Twin Cities, a new play written by beloved Minnesota storyteller Kevin Kling with music composed and arranged by Simone Perrin, running from March 12 - April 3. The other play will be the heartfelt and humorous one-woman show American as Curry Pie by local artist Aamera Siddiqui, running from March 17 - April 10.
