Lorna Landvik Brings Summer Improv Shows to BLB in July
In the summer, there's no party like a backyard party...especially when it's hosted by Lorna Landvik.
Due to popular demand, Lorna Landvik adds a July showcase to her Bryant Lake Bowl schedule. My Backyard Party, a summertime feast of one-person improvised comedy genius, will be on stage at 7:00pm on Thursdays and Saturdays in July at the Bryant Lake Bowl, 810 W. Lake St., Minneapolis. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased online at www.brownpapertickets.com.
Like Lorna's smash-hit Party in the Rec Room, which Bryant Lake Bowl holds every January, My Backyard Party promises a fresh cast of characters at every fiesta. Each performance is made up on the spot, every night! And just as fitting to the backyard party theme are Lorna's show-opening margaritas, which she blends on stage to add to the merriment.
Lorna is known nationally as the author of eight novels including PATTY JANE'S HOUSE OF CURL, ANGRY HOUSEWIVES EATING BON BONS and 'TIS THE SEASON. Local audiences also know her as an actor. A former member of Dudley Riggs, Landvik has appeared in Theater 911's BAD SEED, in Joel Sass' Mary Worth Theater and in several shows she wrote and performed at the Bryant Lake Bowl (GLAMOUR QUEEN, AND THE WINNER IS..., THE SMELT PRINCESS and A STINKHOLE CHRISTMAS).
For several years, she has jumped into the thrills of solo improvisation where it's a new show every night.
