I Am A Sword tells the story of Martine Lowe, an Olympic fencer whose life is disrupted by a brutal assault that leaves her in a coma. As she struggles to reclaim her past and return to the sport she loves, she trains under the guidance of Declan Teague, known for his unconventional methods. The play, written by Joseph Zettelmaier and directed by Josie Herman, stars Brittany Batell, Jonathan Davidson, and Andy Jones, navigating themes of recovery and resilience in the face of trauma.
