Detroit Mercy Theatre Company presents Poor Clare by Chiara Atik, a comedic and anachronistic exploration of the life of St. Clare of Assisi. Set in 1211 Italy, the play follows Clare, a wealthy young woman whose life changes dramatically after meeting Francis, a man who has chosen a life of poverty and service. Inspired by Francis's dedication, Clare begins to reevaluate her own existence and the concept of living with purpose. Directed by Kez Settle, this production runs from February 13 to February 22 at the new Detroit Mercy Black Box Theatre.
