In celebration of the Fisher Theatre's 50th anniversary, a solid gold line-up of six sensational shows will headline the 2011-2012 Broadway In Detroit Subscription Season. Kicking-off the 50th anniversary subscription season will be Come Fly Away, bringing together the music of Frank Sinatra and the creative vision of Twyla Tharp, September 2011 at the Fisher Theatre. The rest of the line-up unfolds as follows: A Christmas Story, The Musical! at the Fisher Theatre, November 2011; Million Dollar Quartet, the Broadway hit musical about a one-time jam session of four rock 'n' roll icons, will appear at the Fisher Theatre, January - February 2012; Shrek the Musical at the Fisher Theatre, March 2012; Disney's Beauty and the Beast at the Fisher Theatre, April 2012; and, Blue Man Group brings its first-ever theatrical tour to the Fisher Theatre, May 2012

In addition to the shows on the 2011-2012 Broadway In Detroit Subscription Season, three very special attractions will be presented as part of the 50th anniversary season celebration: Wicked at the Detroit Opera House, December 2011; Green Day's American Idiot, January 2012, (venue to be announced); and Rock of Ages at the Fisher Theatre, February 2012.

"We knew we had to put together a solid gold line-up of hit shows on the 2011-2012 Broadway In Detroit Subscription to duly commemorate our 50th anniversary," said Broadway In Detroit Executive Director Alan Lichtenstein. "We believe we've accomplished this goal with a collection of shows that represent the five decades that we've been bringing the best of Broadway to Detroit audiences."

2011-2012 Broadway In Detroit Subscription tickets are priced as low as $305 for all six shows and are now on sale.
