The Carbonell Awards celebrate theatrical excellence in South Florida, showcasing outstanding productions and performances from over 30 professional theaters across the region. The 2024-2025 season runs from September 1, 2024, to August 31, 2025, with a panel of 46 judges evaluating nearly 100 productions. Notable new judges include Charles Baran, Jody Leshinsky, Jorge Perez, and Savannah Whaley, each bringing a wealth of experience from various facets of the performing arts. The awards, named after sculptor Manuel Carbonell, have been a significant cultural milestone for more than 47 years.
