Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812 is an immersive musical by Dave Malloy, based on a 70-page slice of Leo Tolstoy's War and Peace, following the young and naive Natasha Rostova as she falls into a scandalous affair with the charming rake Anatole while her fiancé Andrey is away at war. The show is renowned for its eclectic, genre-blending score that weaves together electronica, pop, folk, and opera into a uniquely intoxicating sound. It debuted Off-Broadway in a supper club setting in 2012 before transferring to Broadway in 2016, where it earned 12 Tony Award nominations, including Best Musical.
Ages: Recommended for audiences 12 and up due to themes involving "scandalous" romance, adult situations, and some violence.
