With a lush voice that evokes early Streisand, jazzy Bebel Gilberto and cool Cassandra Wilson, Jane Monheit joins Diana Krall as one of the most highly touted female jazz singers today. She has garnered critical acclaim since the release of her celebrated debut album, Never Neverland, and has since become a household name in the jazz and pop world. Monheit's latest album, Surrender, features pop songs and standards woven together with dreamy bossa nova rhythms. From a stunning version of Moon River to a re-invention of Stevie Wonder's Overjoyed and the Sergio Mendes Bossa Nova smash, So Many Stars, Monheit shows why audiences can't get enough of her velvet voice.
