Melissa Gomez

Granny & Mother Bear
MELISSA GOMEZ is a Cuban-American stage actor and singer born and raised in Miami, Florida. Before being introduced to the world of theatre, she was most passionate about modern and classical singing. Music had been Melissa’s first love ever since she was 2 years old. She would create spectacular shows in which she was the vocal superstar for her entire family to watch. Once she grew up, Melissa began studying Music at Miami-Dade College where she received professional vocal training for two years. During this time, she enjoyed performing on stage, but was insecure, and felt like she had yet to reach her fullest potential. It wasn’t until her voice professor advised her to enroll in a musical theatre workshop class, that Melissa found her passion for theatre. Today, after four studious years, Melissa is a graduate from the BFA Music Theatre program at New World School of the Arts, UF’s Conservatory of the Arts where she received extensive training in the arts of singing, acting and dancing. The college credits she is most proud of include Pride & Prejudice (Mrs. Bennet) Company (Jenny), and Lucky Stiff (Annabel Glick.) Having graduated in May of 2023, Melissa is ecstatic to perform in her first ever theatre show for young audiences, especially with a company like Fantasy Theatre Factory.
