The South Florida Symphony Orchestra opens its 27th Key West Icons & Rebels Masterworks season with Leonard Bernstein’s satirical masterpiece Candide. Under the direction of Sebrina María Alfonso, this semi-staged concert features a dynamic cast including David Walton as Candide, Chelsea Lehnea as Cunegonde, and Jason Zacher as Dr. Pangloss/Voltaire, among others. Audiences will follow Candide's humorous and philosophical journey, accompanied by Bernstein's iconic music inspired by Voltaire’s novella.
